Compare two director's Romeo and Juliet

It was hard to pick one between Franco Zeffirelli’s or Baz Luhrmann’s Romeo and Juliet because of their apparent pros and cons. Baz Luhrmann’s was very fancy and had some beautifulness of the scenes. While Zeffirelli’s had charm of plain and sometimes had its impetuousness. But still, Zeffirelli’s was better to me, according to three reasons below.

Duel scene in Zeffirelli’s film was far more thrilling. The fight between Mercutio and Tybalt was quite funny like watching Jackie Chan’s action scenes. And after Mercutio’s death, Romeo’s fury and his desperate movement was so real. It was that can’t feel at the Luhrmann’s film because of the character’s fighting with their guns.

Second, the locations were better. Simple enough to focus as they used the set. Especially the window of Juliet’s where Romeo and Juliet have their secret love affair. The place was exactly like I imagined, the wall, the green leaves. While Luhrmann’s film sometimes too distracted. For example, the pool of the same scene was exaggerated.

And the last, of course, it is the Heroine. True! She was an unchangeable jewel of Verona! The most reason of mine choosing Zeffirelli’s film. Those eyes hold my chest that I couldn’t shake off. World’s beauty that never been on earth. Actually, even her act was far better than Claire Danes, Juliet in Luhrmann’s film. The cute chemistry with her and the nanny was one of the main things to enjoy from the movie.

Both of film’s were worth to watch though, rising my love emotion to date someone. Luhrmann’s film’s splendor entertained my eyes enough. But Olivia Hussey’s beauty was really a thing. I couldn’t take my eyes off from the screen looking forward her next appearance.
